A bit about the role

Working within the busy Fashion Workroom on all aspects of alterations through to displaying a complete understanding of Tailoring and garment construction, you will be a natural leader, coach and mentor. You will be known as an ambassador for world class service, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall strategy for driving service across your area. At Selfridges, it takes more than good figures to make a successful department and with our Fashion Workroom being so specialised and an essential component of our business, you will work closely with highly skilled team members to continue building this success whilst driving the business forwards . In this key role, you’ll make sure your area excels in every sense – not just sales, profit and costs, but team performance and customer service. In fact, you’ll look upon your department as your own personal business and take pride in its achievements. Ultimately, your aim will be to create an extraordinary experience for customers through your team. That means upholding high standards; inspiring your people; and putting our values front and centre. With your flexible, hands-on management style, your department will be an example for the rest of the business.

 

A bit about you

An experienced retail manager, you can lead teams in fast-moving, high volume department with complete understanding of a similar business.  You will be an authority when it comes to customer service, and you will have previous experience of engaging other people to deliver your vision. Within this role you will need to feel confident in giving feedback to others, and you will need to demonstrate your passion and enthusiasm for creating an extraordinary customer and Team Member experience. In addition, you’ll be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong relationship management skills, an in depth knowledge of tailoring as well as complex  alterations and dealing with customer service issues.
