Job Introduction
This role will be focused on supporting the Senior Social Media Manager in implementing the Social Media Strategy and owning content creation and channel management. The role will require both creativity and organisation, switching between art direction, video editing, planning, scheduling, community management and compiling reports for key stakeholders in the business.
You will attend shoots, capture content in store daily and work with an amazing roster of brands to curate and create thumb stopping social-first imagery and video.
As the Social Media Coordinator you will:
- Support the Senior Social Media Manager in implementing the social media strategy for @TheOfficialSelfridges Instagram, @TheYellowDrop Instagram and @Selfridges TikTok.
- Whilst you will support on all categories, you will become the key contact for @TheYellowDrop MW Instagram account.
- Assist in managing the weekly calendar, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders regarding key opportunities and stories, and adapting to last minute changes and fast-turn arounds.
- Own and project manage all content, from conceptualizing, pitching, shooting, editing to publishing while ensuring a social first approach to all activations, liaising with a network of external videographers when required.
- Schedule our social content using our Social Publishing platform, monitor and compile weekly, monthly and yearly performance reports.
- Community manage a highly engaged social audience, with a view to grow engagement and foster a sense of community.
- Work with the wider PR & Social team to support with content ideation and creation to deliver content for brand launches, collaborations and newsworthy moments.
- Work cross functionally with other creative teams, including the Brand Voice team to support with ensuring any social story-telling content is optimised for our channels when required.
- Develop external relationships and assist with the briefing process for our brand partnership collaborations and co-created content with influencers and creative stakeholders
- Analyse key data to inform strategic decisions and use creative testing to build insights into our audience.
- Stay ahead of the curve with landscape changes to social platforms, the latest trends and what’s happening culturally, being reactive to create engaging.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A true social media native with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media or content creation for brands ideally within the Fashion space with a passion for all things content.
- Highly creative with the ability to utilise their skillset to shoot and edit social first native content.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Capcut, Premier Pro or similar is essential.
- Capable of working within a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
- Confident and positive with solution-orientated outlook with open-ness to testing and learning.
- Detail-orientated with good time management, being able to multitask and work pro-actively using initiative to prioritise tasks.
- A strong understanding of the nuances of each social media platform and the ever-changing landscapes.
