Job Introduction

Photo Studio – Image Editor


As an Image Editor, you will be: 

  • Reporting into the Post Production Manager.
  • Responsible for the account management of our E-commerce post-production provider.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control across the transfer, delivery and receipt of all e-commerce assets in and out of the studio operation.
  • Partner with post-production manager on priority product through the workflow and delegate accordingly across Image team.
  • Govern and develop the Retouch master guide.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with Selfridges Digital operations team.
  • Lead daily communication with Customer Success Manager of post-production provider and escalate any necessary amends.
  • Responsible for collaboration and solid communication with Studio Photography Editor from internal capture through to post-production.
  • On occasion required to work out of normal office hours.
  • Lead necessary specification changes, briefing audits and potential troubleshooting with post-production provider.
  • Delegate priority amends to Image specialists where appropriate.
  • Identify necessary improvement and opportunity with advancements in technology alongside our account provider.
  • Optimise supplier and in-house workflow through the studio operation and identify areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for weekly reports of asset workflow.
  • Responsible for regular presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

 

How you’ll do it…you will have

  • Solid third party account management experience and the responsibility for this relationship.
  • Extensive retouch experience including high end fashion.
  • Highly competent in using Adobe Photoshop and Bridge, knowledge of digital file handling, organising and editing imagery plus colour profiles.
  • Solid knowledge of studio production with expertise in systems and process.
  • Experience with Creative Force workflow tool a benefit
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with our account provider.
  • Ability to work in isolation and collaborate within a team in equal measure.
  • Solid understanding of photography, lighting and composition.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills with Art direction and Photographers.
  • Confident to identify challenges and ability to lead potentially difficult conversations.
  • Confidence and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in work approach and positive attitude a must.
  • Full-time, 5 days a week with one day WFH
