A bit about the role

We are recruiting for a Resourcing Consultant to join our team and partner our Head Office functions with recruiting talent. The main purpose of the role includes -

  • To drive consistent processes to deliver recruitment needs
  • To creatively manage attraction methods which deliver results
  • To establish and maintain both internal and external relationships
  • To support recruitment related business activity
  • To promote the Selfridges Employer Brand

Key Responsibilities

Establish and manage the internal recruitment process:

  • Drive consistent processes across the business e.g. role briefings, vacancy proformas, selection tools. Partner with hiring managers to ensure all processes are suitable for the role and review where relevant. Share recruitment knowledge with hiring managers to ensure high standards through the process.
  • Support stakeholders with devising assessment processes which are inclusive, fair and promote diversity across the business;  
  • Constantly evaluating the candidate experience to ensure an extraordinary experience – working with a range of stakeholders to deliver this.
  • Identify opportunities for internal recruitment events and work with a range of stakeholders to deliver a value adding event.
  • Update vacancy / filled roles trackers – regularly looking at the data and sharing this with business partners to highlight key themes, risks and opportunities. Reviewing our reporting tools to ensure reporting is accurate and in line with business needs.
  • Partner with HR to ensure approaches are streamlined and information is shared throughout the recruitment process and work with a range of internal stakeholders to create and deliver an SLA
  • Ensure right to work knowledge and processes are up to date and adhered to and ensure this is being upkeep throughout the wider resourcing team.

Drive and uphold attraction methods:

  • Maintain and promote careers website - ensuring the site is up to date and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive attraction.
  • Promote agreed external sourcing methods and review success, looking at measures such as ROI, application rates. Be responsible for ensuring we are getting the best out of existing partnerships and driving these relationships forward along with being at the forefront of new ways to attract candidates within this space.
  • Potentializing our presence on LinkedIn to increase candidate attraction – working as wider team to share best practise.
  • Develop talent pools using a multitude of attraction methods, with a focus on ensuring these networks are current and managed efficiently.
  • Manage agency relationships within own business areas including owning the PSL for allocated business areas, ensuring terms are current and competitive and the agencies represent Selfridges to the highest possible standard.
  • Be at the forefront of industry developments through networking, event attendance and press to create current and efficient attraction methods

Maintain positive and effective working relationships with internal and external partners to deliver timely recruitment solutions:

  • Oversee a range of relevant external organisations and proactively identify companies that will help in delivering our routes to success and recruitment vision.
  • Manage recruitment correspondence to effectively maintain the employer brand – work with stakeholders to ensure tone of voice and information is current.
  • Build strong working relationships with HR Business Partners to ensure a high service level is provided to all business areas.
  • Work with all HR departments to manage the employee life cycle , reviewing HR metrics and looking at opportunities to drive the department forward
  • Create a strong working relationship with Learning and Development to create a seamless on-boarding process and proactively look at ways of working.
  • Drive efficient recruitment processes to ensure HR Admin have all information required for inducting new starters into the business.
  • Take a role model approach to more junior members of the Resourcing Team and wider business and can develop team members through development tools, coaching and other available tools.
  • Create excellent working relationships with the resourcing team members in other areas of the business to create consistency and a sharing of knowledge.

A bit about you

  • Experience of managing the end to end recruitment process within a Head Office environment with experience specifically recruiting Digital/ Ecommerce talent
  • An in-depth knowledge of candidate attraction methods such as LinkedIn and exposure using a range of social media methods to build brand engagement and increase candidate attraction, particularly focusing on diversity;
  • Strong experience in designing and evaluating recruitment tools such as role guides and selection tools
  • Exposure of managing reports including vacancy trackers, finance updates and performance reports.
  • Knowledge of using ATS systems and a working knowledge of Workday advantageous
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, evolving retail environment.
  • Knowledge of recruitment attraction methodology, branding and the retail industry.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and the ability to build strong cross departmental relationships at all levels.
  • A background in direct sourcing through headhunting and market mapping.
  • Knowledge of employment law including immigration.
