A bit about the role

Our people are central to us achieving this. We are looking for a Reward Manager to join us to support the business for a 6 month period. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end to end cycle including reporting, administration and communication of the following schemes:
    • Commission
    • Recognition
    • Bonus
    • Pay Review
    • Total Reward Statements
    • Voluntary Benefits
  • Coordinate Selfridges’ participation in Benchmarking surveys, prepare all necessary reporting and conduct benchmarking exercises as requested
  • Manage the Reward data in the new HR system (Workday) and assist the transition to new system including testing and implementation
  • Maintain all Benefit schemes and ensure  information is up to date on the Intranet
  • Act as first point of contact on queries from managers and team members for all the schemes above
  • Create close relationships with Payroll, Finance and IS, to ensure Reward information is accurate and deadlines are met
  • Help with the financial analysis of Rewards programmes, including rolling up, analysing, testing the integrity and preparing required financial exhibits as needed
  • Gather and evaluate internal payroll records and apply statistical calculations to establish comparisons with related industry standards
  • Integrate and analyse Reward data collected from multiple sources and present results clearly, succinctly and accurately
  • Translate complex data into compelling communications for any audience
  • Help with the preparation of briefs for internal communications for Reward and Benefits
  • Prepare compensation guidelines and communication materials for the schemes above
  • Oversee (and occasionally produce) the monthly HR Reporting and be comfortable with interpreting and analysing HR data
  • Research, Analyse, and Present Data as assigned
  • Liaise with external providers
  • Research, report and make recommendations about best practices on metrics and reporting methods around Reward and HR           
  • Be comfortable engaging with any audience and handling confidential and highly sensitive information with absolute discretion and professionalism     

A bit about you

Key Competencies

  • Degree ( or equivalent )  in Business (including Marketing, Psychology and IT), HR or a numerical field
  • Either postgraduate( or equivalent )   or CIPD qualification (not required if degree is IT/numerical)
  • Experience of managing performance related pay schemes
  • Experience of implementing Reward policies
  • Experience of carrying out salary reviews and surveys
  • Experience with Willis/Towers Watson Global Grading methodology or similar scheme
  • Good working knowledge of the tax implications and legal compliance requirements of reward

 

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven Basic Statistical Knowledge
  • Ability to combine information from a variety of IT sources
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Systems administration
  • Data Management
  • Ability to develop standard and ad hoc Reports, Templates, Dashboards and Scorecards
  • Excellent knowledge of HR Metrics
