Job Introduction

As a Sales Manager in our business you will be a key part of our leadership team which inspires and empowers our Department Managers and team members to excel at every opportunity. Our Beauty division is the biggest beauty hall outside of London.

A bit about the role

As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the range of departments (own bought and concession): sales, profit, costs, people, operation and product, by leading their Department Manager team to deliver an extraordinary customer experience and high retail standards.  Underpinning this is the ability to role model and promote the company values, to lead the team to live them and exceed individual and departmental indicators. Our Beauty Division is an inspirational space and we have some exciting plans around the growth of our offering from products to services for our customers. You will work with multiple brands at a senior level to influence and lead a collective approach to the customer experience whether it be through events, exclusives or the unique Selfridges spirit!

A bit about you

To succeed, you’ll need a strong management background gained in a high volume, fast paced environment. A background that will not only prove you know how to boost sales, control costs and stock, and increase profits, but that you’ve managed Managers, have a passion for Beauty and Beauty Services and are able to work with multiple concession brands at once. Commercially astute, you’ll have a creative, can-do attitude, plenty of ideas and a proactive approach to problem solving – especially when it comes to managing development projects. Using your excellent communication skills you’ll be curious in building strong relationships with teams across the business – creating a smooth running operation that reinforces our reputation as a one of a kind retail experience.

A bit about us

Since opening its doors in 1909, Selfridges has continued to be the premier destination for a truly extraordinary customer experience. The spirit of innovation and creativity imagined by Harry Gordon Selfridge still lives on through its owners today. Having launched Project Ocean in 2000, we continue to lead the way when it comes to sustainability and truly believe “there are no hard times for good ideas”.

Since 2003, W. Galen Weston and his family have owned and operated the business, which now includes two stores in Manchester, one in Birmingham, selfridges.com and the Selfridges App which both deliver to over 130 countries in 8 currencies.
