Job Introduction

Finance Analyst

Selfridges are looking for a Finance Analyst to support the Finance team in providing effective financial challenge and support to their Business Partners.

This individual will support the end to end management accounts process, support the end to end budgeting and forecasting process, evaluate the profitability and performance of strategic investment decisions, provide competitor analysis and insights, and assist the wider team on various ad-hoc requests from the Director of Finance and Managing Director.

KNOW THE ROLE

As a Finance Analyst you are responsible for ensuring that clear, accurate, timely, and relevant financial information is delivered to their stakeholders to support robust planning, excellent cost control and profit driving commercial decision making and investments. You will support the end to end management accounts process – ensuring clear, accurate, relevant and timely information is provided to all stakeholders and provide challenge where appropriate. You will support the end to end budgeting and forecasting process – establishing and communicating budget timelines/milestones with stakeholders, setting up and managing the business planning model, and identifying opportunities and risks while focusing on supporting the development of the 5 year plan.

KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As well as being a Part or Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), this role is perfect if you are strong at building working relationships with peers across the business allowing them to develop a clear and accurate view of financial performance in their area. Along with this, you will have a good understanding of excel and a desire to continue to grow and develop yourself in a challenging but exciting commercial finance department. You will also have experience working with accounting systems and manipulating outputs for management reporting.
