Selfridges consistently reviews productivity and efficiency of non-merchandise spend.   As a consequence we require senior procurement professionals with proven experience to undertake and deliver various improvement/ change / cost management projects to time, quality and savings targets

A bit about the role

In this Category Management role you’ll be part of a dedicated team responsible for for Procurement across non-merchandise (GNFR) spend areas.

Identifying, implementing value adding projects with the support of the Procurement team. These initiatives will include senior level tenders, negotiations and tactics which focus on driving significant cost and efficiency savings whist ensuring the business continues to operate effectively.

To do that means working closely with teams across the business to understand requirements, as well as influence and build strong relationships with senior level stakeholders.  

 

A significant opportunity to make a real impact and challenge current spend areas, spotting areas for improvement; you’ll review the market and compare our existing suppliers to the competition, making sure we’re always getting the best value for money.

A bit about you

You’ll have a solid senior level background in Procurement, ideally within the FM, Supply Chain environment. Hands on knowledge and experience of successfully undertaking spend management initiatives is advantageous and desirable.  Highly proficient and adept at analysing spend with significant technical experience of MS Excel.


You’ll have the commercial acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, and sheer resilience to deliver new ways of Procurement thinking into Selfridges.  Knowledge of MS Office is essential, as well as an ability to communicate with the Senior Directors of the business.  Add strong organisation skills, preferably CIPS qualified (not essential) and an aptitude for managing multiple projects you could soon be enjoying a challenging role with a name that’s a by-word for luxury and innovation.  

This roles includes the responsibility of leading a team of two, therefore line management experience is preferred.
