Job Introduction

At Selfridges, our customers look for the hottest beauty brands and latest products. As an Assistant Buyer for Beauty, you will ensure that is exactly what they get.

A bit about the role

Applying your knowledge of Beauty Brands, you will support with the sourcing of our products – keeping us one step ahead of our competitors. As an Assistant Buyer, your role will include negotiating with suppliers – so we’re looking for someone with the tenacity and resilience to secure the very best terms for the store. Maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers, your commercial focus will mean you take interest in your products right through to point of sale.  Managing a Buyer’s Admin you will work closely with the Buyer as well as key functions across the wider business - including Merchandising, Retail Operations, Marketing, PR, Digital and VM.  The successful candidate will also manage instore pop-up spaces and online edits.

A bit about you

First and foremost, you’ll be passionate about Beauty. A forward thinker, you’ll be up to speed on seasonal trends and be great at working with our suppliers. Creative flair, attention to detail and strong influencing skills are vital. Beauty buying experience at Assistant Buyer level is desirable, but not essential.
