Job Introduction

The Women’s Fashion & Accessories Editor will lead all women’s editorial across the Selfridges website, emails, and digital marketing channels, supporting the Editor in Chief in creating a best-in-class customer experience for the Selfridges.com womenswear and accessories customer, ensuring that all content is always at the forefront of fashion.

A bit about the role

The Women’s Fashion & Accessories Editor will be integral to generating ideas and writing frontline digital features and editorial content with a particular focus on the key women’s categories, including ready-to-wear, accessories, and fine jewellery. They will develop relationships with key stakeholders in the Women’s Buying & Merchandising team, as well as within the Digital Fashion Direction team, to maximise the womenswear voice across the digital channels, particularly through hero home page features and editorial shoots. They will also play a key role in ensuring the tone of voice is seamless from editorial to product copy on the website.

In this exciting, fast paced role our Fashion Editor will write the key women’s fashion and accessories home page features for Selfridges.com, ensuring consistency of the Selfridges tone of voice and ensuring we are always at the forefront of fashion and manage the women’s fashion writer and ensuring they are responsible for best in class output for all womenswear digital content, from home page features to emails, digital marketing copy and product copy. Day to day you will analyse the homepage editorial feature for womenswear, the editorial of fashion shoots and liaising with B&M and Digital teams.

A bit about you

  • Significant experience in print publishing or digital content essential. Digital retail experience preferable.
  • A minimum of four year’s experience in a print or digital womenswear editorial role essential.
  • Excellent writing skills and an excellent working knowledge and passion for the fashion industry.
  • This is a role that combines a flair for writing, an original and intelligent take on womenswear content, and excellent people skills to be able to form strong relationships with key business stakeholders facilitating the best-informed women’s editorial approach.
