Job Introduction

Selfridges is going through an exciting period of change thats driving transformation across our business. To help meet this challenge, a new Portfolio Management Office is being formed to assure the quality of delivery across a number of change initiatives. To deliver against our commitment, we are now looking to recruit an exceptional PMO Analyst who has direct experience of working within a Portfolio or Programme Management Office to join our team and support delivering an exceptional service into the business.

A bit about the role

  • Create and/or maintain key reports and other management information produced by the Portfolio Office. This includes developing and updating our Portfolio Performance Datasets.
  • Develop new processes and controls at portfolio, programme and project level.
  • Seek out opportunities to drive innovation and improve our assurance capability.
  • Maintain milestone plans identifying trends and tracking variances from baselines.
  • Track portfolio, programme and project level risks and issues, ensuring timely visibility of critical mitigations and progress actions.
  • Ensure delivery teams are adhering to the Selfridges Delivery Assurance Framework. Collaborating with the business to drive adoption.
  • Support PMO leadership and key stakeholders in the effective running of governance forums, ensuring timely provision of information.
  • Maintain our SharePoint environment, providing both development and day to day user support.
  • Work with our delivery community, and wider business stakeholders to land and sustain best practice in specialist areas such as Planning, Risks & Issue Management and Dependency Management etc.

A bit about you

Technical knowledge and practical experience

  • Hands on experience of applying project management methodologies for business led projects
  • In depth working knowledge of PMO processes
  • Demonstrable experience of working across a varied portfolio made up of multiple programmes and projects.
  • Appreciation of project accounting and financial control systems
  • Recognised Project or Programme Management qualification, e.g. Prince2, APM, P3O, MSP
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Intermediate to Expert user of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Retail, Customer First/Experience programmes
  • Experience of working with project management tools, including PPM tools such as JIRA, Clarity etc.
  • Experience of working with multiple delivery models (waterfall, iterative etc.)
  • Interest in automation and Continuous Improvement process efficiency
